Annual Silent Auction
One of our largest fundraisers of the year, the FAC annual silent auction showcases huge support from community businesses and retailers, giving participants a treasure of items to bid on. Creative themes decorate the facility to unrecognizable heights, resulting in an unforgettable evening. All proceeds benefit ongoing FAC programming and community outreach efforts. Our next silent auction will be scheduled for early spring of 2010.
Holiday Home Tour
The Holiday Home Tour has become a tradition for the community, since its inception over 12 years ago. 5 to 6 local residents are invited to participate each year, offering a personal tour of their homes, both historic and modern in amenities. Adorned with holiday charm, tour-goers admire decorative ideas and personal collections, as each house displays the warmth of the holidays.
Bob Evans Farm Festival
The French Art Colony provides artistic kids activities at the Bob Evans Farm Festival. Face Painting is a tradition most festival-goers always participate in. Over 50 FAC volunteers are needed to help paint barn animals, tractors and butterflies on the faces of thousands of children. The FAC also offers spatter painting, with more volunteers helping the kids as they drop color paint onto their spinning masterpiece.
The Annual Bob Evans Farm Festival is a celebration of the harvest season that attracts thousands with its entertainment, traditional arts and crafts, farm contests, food, children’s activities and demonstrations. A weekend of fun for friends and family of all ages, the Bob Evans Farm Festival offers a taste of yesteryear.
Salon Series- Fusing Visual and Performing Arts
Mix a casual evening with musicians, a splash of artistry, refreshments & tasty hors d’oevres, and you have an FAC Salon program. Inspired by century-old family performances in the home, these events come alive with regional musicians and the backdrop of “Riverby”. Styles of music, from Chamber to Jazz, are performed by individuals or groups, accompanied by local artists. While the music plays, artists interpret the tones into their own vision of color, shape and repetition.
Many, many more fun and exciting things to do.
