The Annual
Salon Series |

Presented By:

and The Ariel-Dater Hall |

| Many came to this year's Salon Series
held at The Ariel-Dater Hall on Friday, September 14th. When walking
up the steps to the Ballroom, one could smell the excitement in the
air. It was the lighthearted atmosphere of the many diverse people
joining together in the celebration of one thing they all had in
common, a love for music, art, and fellowship. The show started
around 6:30pm and wrapped up about 9:00pm. Music, art, friends, and
fun, what else could one ask for? Jan Haddox opened for the crowd of
nearly 50 people, treating the audience to old-time blues and original
songs from his vast collection. "The Finders", Stephanie Filson
(vocals), Marty Margolis (guitar), Tom (drums) and Jay (guitar) kept
the entertainment fresh with their blues rock originals. By the
end of the show, our featured artist, Gerry Enrico, had finished four
magnificent works of art. One of these pieces and a bottle of Mary
Frost Riesling wine from Merry Family Winery were raffled off in the
evenings Salon Series Raffle Contest. The winner of Gerry's #2 piece was
Dr. LaCarbonara and
the wine went to Chuck Maxam, the owner of "Joe Mamma", the new coffee
shop off of Court Street in Gallipolis, Ohio.
A special thanks to Shelly Fue for help in organizing the event,
great entertainment from "The Finders, Jan Haddox and Gerry Enrico,
and all of the attendees of this unique performance. |
