Thanks to a recent donation from the Wiseman Agency,
the sidewalks around the front of the building are now illuminated by
outdoor lights!

When long-time FAC President, Board Member and benefactor
Dr. Donald Thaler passed away in 2002, the Thaler family decided to restore the
formal garden in his memory. The gardens now include the bronze sculpture
"Candice" by Gary Price, selected because of Dr. Thaler's love of his granddaughters,
gardening, and the FAC.

The gardens include memorial benches dedicated:

Memorial Tree Project
Memorial trees were added to the Memorial Gardens on October
22, 2005, as part of Make A Difference Day, in memory of area youths
who have passed before their time. Students from Gallia County School's Junior Teen Institute
(JTI), along with Davison Landscaping and the French Art Colony, planted
seventeen trees, fulfilling part of the master plan for the gardens. Each tree is dedicated with a
plaque in the child's memory. Out of all the projects statewide, this
project was named to the award semi-finals for Make A Difference Day.
